The Archbishop of Canterbury spoke this weekend about his hopes for the new community of young Christians he’s forming at Lambeth Palace next year.

Speaking to the Sunday programme on BBC Radio 4 from Chile, which he was visiting as part of his series of visits to Anglican primates, Archbishop Justin Welby said the Community of St Anselm will have “a huge commitment” to Anglican communities worldwide – given that its members will be drawn from countries across the world.

He added that he hopes participants, who are invited to join the community for a year, will be “shaped” by the experience and emerge with “a vision for the common good” whether they go on to work in the church, in business, or elsewhere.
