The Community of St Anselm is one community, made up of a group of deeply committed young adults in residential and non-residential modes of membership who will experience a year of shared life, service, prayer and study that will shape the rest of their lives, equipping them to live lives of integrity in every sector of society.
Around one third of the full-time resident members come from and return to Majority World countries and that there is a strong component of young professionals for both the residential and non-residential modes of membership. Members are chosen through a deliberately slow and prayerful selection process, designed to ensure that the mix of members represents cultural and theological diversity, along with evidence that each member is willing and able to contribute and grow in close and often challenging community.
In welcoming members from a broad mix of economic background and Christian expression and tradition, we commit to making a shared journey of reconciliation utterly central to the life of the Community; our differences will both enrich and challenge our shared life. This, along with a focus on serving the marginalised and vulnerable, will be one of the most powerful witnesses of this Community to the Church and to the world.
